About Kinesiology
Kinesiology may feel like magic, but it's deeply rooted in science.
Developed in the 1960s by chiropractor Dr. George Goodheart, it emerged from the discovery that certain muscles fail to "lock" or activate properly—causing other muscles to compensate, leading to pain, fatigue, and imbalance.
By identifying which muscles are underperforming and understanding why, kinesiology uses gentle, non-invasive techniques to help "switch on" those muscles and restore optimal function.
At its heart, kinesiology uses muscle testing as a biofeedback tool to uncover the underlying causes of physical, emotional, nutritional, or energetic imbalances—guiding the body back into alignment and wellbeing.

I’m an adventurer, wife, and proud mother of five beautiful children. I’m passionate about meaningful connection and supporting others in expanding their awareness. For me, the perfect way to start the day is a long walk in nature—soaking in the beauty, simplicity, and magic that each new day offers.
Alongside kinesiology, my training spans a range of therapeutic approaches, including crisis counselling, Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophies, acupressure, and a Bachelor of Psychological Science.
Drawing on my background in psychology and crisis counselling, I work holistically with both the mind and body to help restore balance.
I believe we each hold the power to heal ourselves—and when we begin to understand the language of our body, mind and emotions, there’s truly nothing we can’t move through.

I believe that your body has an innate wisdom and knows exactly what it needs to be brought back into balance.
My role as a practitioner is to act as a translator for that wisdom, helping uncover the root causes of imbalance—whether they stem from the physical, emotional, or energetic.

PEMA Somatic Movement & Vedic Breathwork
10am-11am, Friday, 13th June, 2025
During this one hour session, I will take you through muscle movements to release tension in the core of your body and allow for emotional and energetic release.
Using conscious breathing to regulate your nervous system, you will strengthen the mind-body connection, enjoy deep relaxation and practice somatic movement to bring your body back into balance.
No prior experience is necessary and this class is suitable for all ages. All you need is your own mat and a bottle of water. Remember comfort is important to relaxation so wear something comfortable. This session will be held at the beautiful Canberra Yoga Space in Phillip, ACT.
